Dear class,
As you all know, I am currently out of town; however, if you have any immediate concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out and contact me.
On Tuesday we wrapped up our short look into Industrial Era technological development. If you were absent, or have lost your copy, I have uploaded the handout for your second reading response to the General Resources page. The response will be due next Thursday, 2/27.
Next week we will be taking a look at something a bit different: a piece of short fiction called The Machine Stops. Although it was written in 1909, I think you will find it an uncannily relatable story even by today’s standards. For Tuesday 2/25, please read the first two chapters of the story. We will then finish with the last chapter for Thursday.
Okay, all for now. See you next week!
