I hope you found our discussion in class interesting and useful. For those of you who were absent, or if you have simply lost your copy, you can find the handout for the third Reading Response assignment in the General Resources page. The response will be due next Thursday, 3/12.

Keep in mind that next week we are beginning our reading of 1984. We will devote the week to completing the 1st part of the book (meaning, you should have the 1st part finished by Thursday for discussion). In my edition, the 1st part equals about 100 pages, so I might recommend splitting your reading up (e.g., reading the first 70 pages over the weekend for Tuesday, and the remaining 30 for Thursday). However you want to divvy it up is fine with me–just make sure you manage to make it through the reading on time. The book is fairly long, but we need to get through it in a timely manner. Be careful not to fall behind!
